Back to Work We Go!

Monday was my first day back to work.  Thankfully it's Friday and I get to spend the day with both Jacey and Pat.  A nice four day weekend will help me recover from the emotionally draining week.  I knew going back to work would be tough but I thought the first day leaving Jacey would be the hardest.  That was not the case at all.  As the week went on, it got harder.  I progressively got more tired and Jacey started to figure out that this was not just a fun visit to Tammy's house.  I mean she likes to visit Tammy but I don't think she liked the idea that she is going to have to be there all day, everyday!  Usually she gets to visit and then the next day she is with me all day.

It is going to take some getting used to for both Jacey and I.  It is super hard to have my classroom prepared and ready for the next day when I can't really stay late after school and I can't arrive super early either.  It was also hard to have to wake Jacey up in the morning.  She looked so comfy and I had to get her up real early.  Anyways I guess it is one of those things in life that you just have to do.  AND many people DO IT!

So this weekend is going to consist of making some more food for Jacey, going to camp and visiting Kate before she leaves for college.  Oh and it is her birthday too!  I will be sure to post pictures.  We can't wait to see Saige and Kellan.  It has been a while.  Enjoy your long weekend everyone!

About Jacey:

She can sit up on her own for short periods of time.
She is showing her STRONG personality.
She loves eating and playing with her toes.
She can roll over.
Pat woke up and found her sleeping on her tummy.
She likes to throw everything on the floor.
She likes to stand holding onto the side of the couch.

More Updating

So I have decided that blogging has gotten a little tricky since Jacey has come along and is soon going to become even trickier!  So updating is just going to have to be okay once in a while.
On Monday I am going to go back to work for my seventh school year.  I am sure you are wondering how I am feeling...well part of me feels sad of course to leave Jacey but the other part of me feels excited to be part of the working/adult world.  I am anxious to have a routine and schedule everyday.  To know what I am going to be doing everyday is going to feel good.  I feel a little nervous about managing the house chores but I know that has to be the last of my worries.  I have been so blessed and feel so lucky that I have gotten to stay home this long with the lil peanut!  Can you believe that I have been home for 5 months?  It's crazy but would never have done it any different!
Jacey and I will miss the great moms that I have met through this whole experience too.  Heidi and Wyatt, Melissa and Xavier, and Talia and Haley.  Deidra, we are related so I know I will see you and Keltin often.  Hopefully we'll be able to stay in touch and we can hang out a lot next summer!
Jacey is doing well.  She loves food, playing on the floor, talking to mom and dad, swimming, dogs and getting into stuff!  She is going to be a troublemaker when she starts crawling and walking.  Here is a picture from the day that I watched Saige and Kellan.
Yikes...How do people have multiples?
Saige was helpful!  She took a great picture of Gee!
Family Trip to the Camp!
Pat, Jacey and I went to visit Nick and Nicole!  The weather was amazing and Jacey loved swimming. Here she is hanging out with Ashley who she loved!
"Hey Momma!"

Jacey got a new toy, Sophie!  Hope she enjoys it!

What's happening lately?

BABY FOOD CHEFS

Friday Nicole and I experimented making some baby food using a couple of the books I bought.  We made a Sweet Veg Medley, Butternut Squash, Mango and Blueberries.
Oopps this one didn't get rotated yet!
I will be getting a food processor!  We ruined two batches since we touched the blades with our spoon and knife.
It was a lot of fun but a little time consuming.  It made a large amount of food though.  Thankfully chef Nicole helped me since I didn't know how to cut half of the fruits and veggies that we got. Rutabaga? weird stuff  Mangos are annoying!
GREASE @ PRESCOTT PARK
Thursday we went to Portsmouth to see Gease at Prescott Park.  Nicole and her mom joined my mom and I.  Jacey saw her first of many plays she will see in her lifetime.
It was a lot of fun.  It just so happened that Chrissy, Mike and Riley were running that night too.  So Nicole and I were able to see and cheer them on at the finish line.  What a nice surprise!
PLAY DATE
We had another play date with Wyatt and Xavier!  We went to Melissa's house in Alton to meet up.  It was a blast!  Melissa made us lunch and the kids played on the floor.
Just after we got there I put Jacey on the floor and I was in the kitchen chatting with Heidi and Melissa.  I put Jacey on her back when I set her down.  I turned around to check on her and she was on her STOMACH! Are you kidding me?  I missed her roll over for the first time.  Yup I sure did.  What a bummer!  She hasn't done it since either.
Jacey and Wyatt!
I caught Jacey and Wyatt holding hands!  How darn cute is that.  Jacey is a month older than Wyatt.
We visited cousin Sophie and Brady too!  Mallory was there visiting too.
Next year Jacey will be playing babies with them.  Sophie helped me feed Jacey her lunch too.  What a great helper.  She is soo good with her!
FOUR MONTH BATTLE WOUND!
On Tuesday Pat and I took Jacey for her shots.  Our appt was suppose to be at 2:40.  Well the appt didn't go as we had hoped.  It took a while for them to get us in.  As the time passed all of our patience were running thin.  Jacey was really hungry, Pat had to get to work and I was just nervous about the shots.  To make a long story short, I had to feed Jacey in the room while we waited.  Pat held Jacey while she had her 3 shots.  It was horrible like always!  Pat finally understands why I don't like going alone.  We never got out of the office until 3:50. Yeah it just didn't go well.
I always have to take a picture of her battle wounds.  And her little nipples too.
I'm sittin' up!

The Tylenol always puts her right to sleep.  She never sleeps on me like this.  I love sitting with her like this!  She stayed like this for over an hour.  What a cuddle bug!
Snugglies!

Little Miss. Piggy!

Look...I'm a big girl sitting in my highchair for the first time!
Jacey loves eating.  So far she has had carrots, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, and prunes.  She doesn't like green beans so much.  She likes her rice cereal too.
Welcome home Chrissy, Mike and Riley!
On Monday the Thompsons stopped by to visit us.  We were all so excited to see them.  It had been an entire year since we had seen them.  Chrissy loved holding Jacey and I think Riley got a lil' jealous.
YAY!
Jacey met Riley for the first time! He was so happy to see her that he gave her her first BEAR HUG!
Don't let this picture fool you, Jacey was really tired and not very nice to Riley when he was holding her.  I had so much fun playing with Riley.  We picked some blueberries too.  Riley pounded them!  Handful after handful!  I couldn't pick them fast enough.
MORE SWIMMING...
Look I have water in my face...hehe!  Who did that?
Hope all of you enjoy!  Time is flying.  I go back to work soon..we start school September 1.

Baby Girl's Bling

For a long time I have been wanting to get Jacey's ears pierced so today Mom, Jacey and I headed out to go shopping.  I needed a new phone too since my phone died.

We went to the FoxRun and now Jacey has new BLING!  I can't lie I wanted to back out but Jace was a trooper. Mom held her and I took some photos.
Such a big girl.  She only cried for maybe 2 minutes and then she was happy.  Her ears didn't even get red.

Here it goes!  Mom and I were more nervous than Jacey!

It was a fun day with Mom and Jacey!

Birthday Weekend!

This past weekend some of my family and friends came up to Danforth Bay to celebrate my birthday.  It was a perfect way to celebrate...BBQ, camping, friends and family are all of my favorite things!  Saturday morning we sat around and after lunch we headed to the pool.  Here are the boys walking to the pool with Jacey.
We all had some drinks and swam in the pool.  Family Photo!!!!
Here are the GRAMS watching the babies while we played in the pool!  There is Keltin, Jacey's cousin who is 7 weeks old.
Lindsay and Steve spent the day too!  Jacey loves her Auntie!
There's Keltin again relaxin' in the sun with his mom, Deidra.
Auntie Nicole, Uncle Nick, Jacey and Baby Doyle played in the pool together.  Jacey screamed a lot!

Deidra playing with Brady, Jacey's other cousin!
And here is Jill and Sophie.  Sophie cracked us up all day Saturday.  I was so glad to see them!
Gram and Gramp had the time of their lives!  The first time all of their GREAT GRANDCHILDREN were altogether!  I love to see them smile like that!

Thanks everyone for such an awesome birthday!
