Caught in the Act!

What do you look like when you are taking a big dump?
Check out Jacey's expressions as she works out a big ole' explosion!  YIKES!
I didn't expect a 3 week old to have this many facial expressions.

Maybe I could be an owl Hoo Hooo!

MUAH!  Blowin' kisses.

Jacey's First Photo Shoot

Today we went to get Jacey's pictures taken.  A lady who owns a studio in Rochester wanted to get some pictures of a newborn.  She gave me an awesome deal.  We did pretty well considering she was naked for like and hour and she didn't poop on any of the blankets.  Jacey pretty much slept the entire time.  Here are a couple she just sent me.

Jacey's a GrOwIn' Girl

All of you who told me that life would be super busy being a mom were so right.  Even though she sleeps a lot, I am nonstop.  Between showering, napping, visiting, changing dipes, and feeding I find I run out of time.  Therefore that is why I haven't posted in a while.  I want to try and get better.  Here are some things going on in our lives.

Doctor's Appointment last Friday:  Jacelyn weighed 7lbs 9oz.  Which the Dr. was happy with.

FIRST BOTTLE:  Friday she had her first bottle and was not so sure of what to think about it.  She is getting used to it.  Pat is enjoying feeding her when he gets home from work.

SLEEPING:  She was doing really well.  We were feeding her around 9 then she would wake us up at 1:30-2.  Then at 5:00 when Pat got up to go to work.  That has changed a little.  She has decided to keep us up a little more the past couple of nights.  Hopefully this will change.

BINKY:  Sunday night she tried her Binky for the first time.  She is not a big fan.  She spits it out.  She hasn't had much interest in it since.

SWADDLING:  When Jacey came home from the hospital she loved to be wrapped super tight.  NOT ANYMORE!  She fights her way out of the swaddles now.  She likes sleeping stretched out.

VISITORS:  Everyone has been so supportive and helpful since we have been home from the hospital.  My mom has been helping with Jacey's laundry, making me lunch, watching her so I can get a couple things done around the house.  Sherrill came down on Sunday so Pat and I could do some yard work and she is watching Jacey on Friday so Pat and I can go out to dinner.  That will be nice.  Family and friends have brought lots of food.  Pat, Jacey and I are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family close by.

FIRST BATH AT HOME:  It was very interesting!

UPCOMING EVENTS:
Wednesday: Jacey's 2 week physical
Thursday:  I have a 2 week check-up
Friday:  Jacey's First PHOTO SHOOT

Easter At Grammy & Grampa's House

Once we left Gee's we went to Grammy & Grampa's house to have some dinner.  When we arrived, we realized that the Easter Bunny had been there.  Jacey had 9 easter eggs to find.
We worked together to find them.  Each egg had a little something to put in the piggy bank.
Grammy and Grampa took some time to hold me since I was still napping.

And I even got a rappin' easter bunny with eggs around its neck!  Grammy and Grampa gave me money to get my ears pierced.  We are going to talk to the doctor on Tuesday about my ears.

Happy Easter Everyone

Easter at Gee's House!

What a fun day I had, my very first Easter.  My day started by sleeping in bed with daddy til 9:00...Auh.  I got up, mommy & daddy washed my hair and I had something to eat before we headed off to Gee's house for my first visit.  I was very excited because I was going to meet my cousin Kellan for the first time.  He is only six days older than I am.  I got into my car seat and off we went.

When we got to Gee's lots of people were excited to see and hold me.
Here's my Auntie Nicole AND I! SMOOCH...SMOOCH!
Here's GG.

Unfortunately I was very tired and slept through the entire visit.
Uncle Nick and Auntie Kate holding Kellan and I.  Uncle Nick loves me! He he.
And here is
my new cousin Kellan.  He is just six days older than I am.  He weighs a whole pound more than me and he liked me too.  He kept rolling over on me.  It will be fun when we can play together.

My First Bath!

Here I am with my nurse Jessica.  She was so nice to me!  She gave me my first bath at 6:30pm on the day I was born.  Mommy watched from her bed because she was very sore.  Enjoy.

Jacelyn Marie Doyle

It is so exciting to let all of you know that Jacelyn is finally here.  She arrived on Monday, April 6th at 2:30pm.  She was 7lbs 11oz and 20 3/4in.  Here are just a couple of sweet photos.

The good thing is that she and I are healthy, the not so good thing WAS that labor was nothing Pat and I expected.  Long and hard are perfect words.

When we get home I will post about the experience.  We are going home tomorrow (Wednesday).
