T.G.I.F.

Wow thank goodness that day is over!  It was nonstop starting with tearing my closet apart this morning to getting my classroom ready for a Monday morning went I won't be in because I have another doctor's appointment.  It feels so good to be sitting on my couch in my sweaties.

This morning was the first morning in a long time that I can remember being totally annoyed with my closet.  I am sick of wearing the same clothes everyday!  I have gotten to the point that it is pretty much impossible to wear regular clothes.  Shirts that are larges don't fit because they are big around the armpits and way to long and regular mediums don't cover the bump.  This means that pretty much only maternity clothes fit but I am not going out to buy them to wear for 10 more weeks.  I will just deal the best I can.

So last weekend my mom went shopping and brought me home a skirt that was really cute.  When I tried it on it was too small.  I was bummed!  Well I have no idea what I was thinking this morning but I insisted on wearing the skirt.  I just wanted something different to wear.
By the end of the day I was regretting wearing that skirt!  Auh it was a little snug.

Nothing much new going on.  Wednesday we had a snow day and I spent my morning taking care of more furnace problems.  I opened the cellar door and felt like I was in a sauna.  It was super hot, moist, and foggy.  I walked down cellar stairs and the floor was nothing but rust colored water.  Thankfully Devon didn't go to work that day.  He came over and fixed it.  Pat came home once he heard about the furnace problem.  We went out to lunch with Nick and Nicole which was nice because we hadn't seen them in a while.  No shoveling for me that day!

Tomorrow I have to coach bright and early and get my picture taken. Fun Fun!
Hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend!

A Bath She NEVER Expected!

Tonight Deidra and Midge stopped by to get some jewelry to go with her dress that she is wearing to her friend's wedding this weekend.  Trey was rather hyper due to the fact that it is too cold for him to play outside!  Well he decided he wanted to play with Midge.  They chased each other around and Midge tried to bite Trey several times.  She is fiesty!  The next thing Deidra and I noticed is that Midge was soaking wet.  Weird!  We kept a close eye on them for a couple minutes and we caught Trey lapping Midge to death!  She seemed to be liking it.  So by the time Deidra left, Midge was drenched and she probably had icicles hanging off of her by the time she got home because they walked here.

Oh, I also had an hour massage today and it was so relaxing!  I love pampering myself!

That's One Busy Body!

It is still so hard to get used to the feeling of another human being living inside of me.  You would think after a couple weeks of feeling her, I would just get used to it.  Nope especially not, when she wakes  me up in the middle of the night kicking and it takes a minute to remember that it is the baby inside of you.  She is almost to the point that I bet any day you will be able to see my stomach move when she kicks or catches me with an elbow.  Last night she was moving around for more than an hour while Pat and I watched What Happens in Vegas.

Thankfully I got through last week and today brings a new day and a new week.  Monday I felt great, I had the day off, went snowshoeing, shoveled the porch, took Trey to the vet and cooked Pat some dinner.  Well Tuesday was horrible! I felt tired, hungry, had a stomach ache and I was emotional.  Wednesday through Friday was the same except on Friday I felt my hands and feet start swelling! I swear I could feel my stomach growing everyday!  Well I got thinking and realized that maybe I need to slow down a bit.  I had to remind myself that I am 7  months
pregnant! OOpps.   So yesterday I went to coach basketball from 8:30-11:30 and came home and slept the entire day!

So far today I feel better.  I now have to cut out the salt in my diet, starting resting with my feet up a little more often and I am going to grab some bananas at the store.  I didn't really want to have to start dealing with this yet but I don't really have a choice.  I have been reading online and swelling is pretty normal at this point.  It said that the fluids are important for labor and the baby.  It was just weird that one day I was fine and the next day I couldn't get my rings off.
11 weeks left!

*This is a picture of Pat leaving me stranded!  What a BRAT!
**Oh I also stopped at Target after going to my Women's League game (to watch) and got my first nursing bra.  How interesting!  I have it on in the picture if you are wondering.

Say Goodbye! :(

Tonight I had an appointment with Dr. Franklin, my chiropractor!  I got into trouble:(  He caught me with a pair of my high heeled boots on.  Let's just say..."goodbye high heeled boots"!

Since I have been to the massage therapist, my back has been feeling good until today.  After Dr. Franklin scolded me about my heels it dawned on me that today was the first day in a long time that I wore those boots and my back was really sore and tired today.  He was so right.  I am going to try to stick with my sneakers for a couple of days to see how my back will feel then.

I hate being short!

My Kind of Day!

There are lots of things that I love to do but one of my favorites is snowshoeing!  Today was a perfect day to go snowshoeing after our huge snowstorm yesterday.  I think we ended up getting about 15-16 inches. So on my way home from our doctor's appointment I called up Nicole to see if she was going snowshoeing.  Sure enough, her and Nick were planning on going.  I headed over there as soon as I got home and grabbed all of my stuff and Trey too. He loves going snowshoeing.  I don't think any of us expected the snow to be so deep.  Trey had to hop like a bunny to get through the snow.   Speaking of bunnies, we even saw some animal tracks probably bunnies.  Thankfully Nick & Nicole took turns breaking the path.  I trailed in the back! I think Trey and I are going to have to take a nap this afternoon.

Today Pat and I also had our 28 week appointment.  I had my diabetes test where I had to drink this drink that was super sweet.  I had the fruit punch flavor.  It wasn't that bad.  We also got our hospital packet.  When I go into labor I have to bring this packet and give it to the hospital.  Kinda weird that we are already talking about "that time".  All is well with Jacelyn!  She is a perfect size, has a good strong heartbeat (152 bpm) and she is HEAD DOWN!  I told my midwife that I would be happy if she stayed head down.  She said that we actually want her to move around to strengthen her muscles.  It will be at 36 weeks when we want her to be head down.  I also have to start keeping track of her movement once a day.  We want her to move at least 10 times in a 2 hour time span.  This means that she is getting everything that she needs.
Our widwife was actually able to poke around my belly and she found Jacey snuggled up along my right side.  Her backbone is right up against my right side with her feet up under my rib from time to time.  Yesterday morning I woke Pat up and had him put his hand on the top of my belly on the right side.  Sure enough she kicked him twice pretty hard.  He was kinda freaked out!  It is cool to know now that it really was her foot.
From now on I have to go to the doctors every two weeks for the next 10 weeks.

A Snowy Day!

Another snowy Sunday!  I shouldn't complain because it sure has been nice just sitting around all day.  Pat and I did get a little motivated and decided to put together Jacey's  swing that Nanny and Bumpa sent us.  Nanny called this morning and asked if we put it together yet and we hadn't taken it out of the box.  It seems to be really nice.  It is nice and sturdy and doesn't take up as much space as we thought it was going to take up.
Trey was not quite sure what to think of the swing.  He sniffed it a little and then moved on to resume his napping position on the floor in the living room with Pat and I.  We are going to wait a while to put on all of the covers so that they don't get dirty and dusty.
I think Jacey is really going to like her swing.
Thanks Nanny & Bumpa!

Lindsay Turns 24!!

Wednesday, January 14th was Lindsay's birthday!  Happy Birthday Lindsay!   So we got together to go out for dinner and drinks at one of her favorite places, Patty's.  It was a lot of fun to sit around and talk about all of the super exciting events coming up in all of our lives including her and Steve's Wedding on June 13th!
Of course the girls had to get a picture together!
Lindsay likes to do SHOTS, so of course Pat hopped on that wagon and joined the fun.  This was their second shot after the lemon drops!  This was Pat's favorite!  He called it the Wooo Hooo when it is really called a WOO WOO!  It was nice and girlie and one of my favorites too!
Steve was well behaved!  He had a little too much fun on Friday Night! HA Ha!

It is so fun looking back in time! Here are a couple of pictures of when I first met Lindsay!  These are pictures from when she turned 21!  That night was hilarious!

Oh So Nice!

Last night I got the nicest massage after work!

So you have probably heard my complaining about my silly little back pain.  Well, I have finally had enough and I decided that I will cut back on going out to eat or spending my monies on silly things, instead I will pamper myself until I have the baby.

I slept so nice last night!  Auhhhh thanks Nicole for that idea!

Happy Birthday Skip!

January 6th was Skip's Birthday so tonight (Sunday) we had everyone over for Chinese food.  Nick & Nicole, Kate, Shannon, Sonny & Saige and Pat and I had a nice little birthday party!  I think Saige thought the party was for her!  It was really nice to get together with everyone. Skip was in high spirits and happy to talk to Pat and Nick about sports of course.  We sat down to eat, Skip opened his cards, and we ate cake.  Saige got her Grampa a card that sings!  A Hannah Montana card!   She didn't want to let her Grampa bring is home!
                         Caught you Nicole!!!!

Saige was so excited to have some of HER cake.  It was really her Grampa's cake but she insisted that it was HERS!  She was sitting on her Grampa's lap but got embarrassed when she farted and we or I was joking that she "PooKipsied" on his lap in her new "Yundies".  (If you haven't seen the Sex and the City Movie you have GOT to see it!)
She loves the vanilla part of the cake! Thank goodness she brought the cake home with her!

For some reason Saige doesn't really like getting her picture taken. I do agree that Uncle Nick was a little stinky tonight (scary looking too)!

Here is Shannon and I.  Isn't it crazy how different baby bellies can be?  It was really neat tonight because you can actually feel Colby in Shannon's belly.  You could actually push him around a bit.  Shannon is due on March 30th, she has 11 weeks left.  The doctors told her at her last ultrasound that Colby is going to be a big boy when he decides to join the world.  Maybe over 8 lbs!  That will be much different than Saige who was a small baby.  And me, belly all over,  13 weeks till my due date but mom thinks that Jacelyn (Jacey) is going to want to come early.  Hey, that is fine with me!

Lil Baby!

I thought this picture was interesting.  Doesn't look very comfortable!  Grow baby, GROW!

FHS HOME OPENER!

I cooked up some grill cheese sandwiches and we had dinner.  After dinner she even shared her Hoodsie Cup with Trey!

She was wild! Jumping all over Pat in his dress clothes, running through the house and hiding on me.  Oh and she surprise me with her special new Dora "Yundies".  She is potty trained and super excited about being a big girl!

Once we were ready we picked Deidra up and went to the game.  It was a nail biter!  The boys played well.  The score ended up 50-53.  Tigers lost in double overtime.  It was a great way to start the season but I don't know how many of those games I can do.  They are nerve racking.
Pat's next game is on Friday but it is in Berlin.  Yuk!  Wednesday he has another home game!

26 Week Buddha Belly!

Here I am at 26 weeks!  Two more weeks and say "hello" to trimester III.  Overall I am still feeling well.  Some things are getting a little more challenging like tying my shoes and shaving my legs.  Thankfully Pat has been tying my shoes for me.  I also have what feels like a pinch in the left side of my back that is really annoying.  I can't get comfortable sleeping or even sitting on the couch.  Hopefully that goes away soon!

So tomorrow I go back to work.  I was thinking about it yesterday and we only had like 4 full days of school in the last 3 1/2 weeks.  That is crazy!  I am not too worried because I don't have to make them up at the end of the school year.

Into the Double Digits!

181 days down, 99 days to go!
Baby Jacey is definitely changing and growing each day!  She is starting to get on a schedule it seems like.  Lately she has been up and moving around at 8:00 am, 12 noon, dinner time, and 8:00 at night.  I haven't been feeling her moving much at night while I am sleeping unless I am sleeping in a way that she doesn't like.  It is really weird to feel her moving.
This week Jacey is going to start opening her eyes.  Did you know that all babies have blue eyes in the womb?  They actually change color after they are born.  Her eyes are almost fully developed and have been completely closed for the past month.  She is about 2 pounds and 9.2 inches (not including her legs).  When I am walking I can feel her hanging out in my stomach.  Really weird!

Blood vessels in her lungs are starting to develop preparing her for life outside of the uterus. She is also growing fat layers too.  She is going to start putting on some weight now.

Lots of stuff going on in there.  Time is really going to go by fast now.  Pat is super busy with basketball for the next 2 months and school will start back up.  I will have to gradually get things together and ready for when I leave.  These last couple weeks have been really nice, Pat and I have had some nice relaxing time off together.  Take care everyone!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We can't believe that another year has passed.  It has now been 10 years since we graduated from high school.  Wow we are old!  We had a blast hanging out with some people we hadn't seen in a while.

We hope everyone had a nice New Years!
