My Kind of Day!

There are lots of things that I love to do but one of my favorites is snowshoeing!  Today was a perfect day to go snowshoeing after our huge snowstorm yesterday.  I think we ended up getting about 15-16 inches. So on my way home from our doctor's appointment I called up Nicole to see if she was going snowshoeing.  Sure enough, her and Nick were planning on going.  I headed over there as soon as I got home and grabbed all of my stuff and Trey too. He loves going snowshoeing.  I don't think any of us expected the snow to be so deep.  Trey had to hop like a bunny to get through the snow.   Speaking of bunnies, we even saw some animal tracks probably bunnies.  Thankfully Nick & Nicole took turns breaking the path.  I trailed in the back! I think Trey and I are going to have to take a nap this afternoon.

Today Pat and I also had our 28 week appointment.  I had my diabetes test where I had to drink this drink that was super sweet.  I had the fruit punch flavor.  It wasn't that bad.  We also got our hospital packet.  When I go into labor I have to bring this packet and give it to the hospital.  Kinda weird that we are already talking about "that time".  All is well with Jacelyn!  She is a perfect size, has a good strong heartbeat (152 bpm) and she is HEAD DOWN!  I told my midwife that I would be happy if she stayed head down.  She said that we actually want her to move around to strengthen her muscles.  It will be at 36 weeks when we want her to be head down.  I also have to start keeping track of her movement once a day.  We want her to move at least 10 times in a 2 hour time span.  This means that she is getting everything that she needs.
Our widwife was actually able to poke around my belly and she found Jacey snuggled up along my right side.  Her backbone is right up against my right side with her feet up under my rib from time to time.  Yesterday morning I woke Pat up and had him put his hand on the top of my belly on the right side.  Sure enough she kicked him twice pretty hard.  He was kinda freaked out!  It is cool to know now that it really was her foot.
From now on I have to go to the doctors every two weeks for the next 10 weeks.
