Jacelyn's 2 Month Appointment

Yesterday Jacey and I took a trip to the doctors for her 2 month appointment.  I was not looking forward to the appointment because she had to get her first round of shots.  Our appointment was at 9 and we both showed up in our clean PJs.  I loved the nurse that we had this time we had a great conversation about vaccinations.

Jacey's Measurements:
Height: 21 3/4 inches    25th percentile
Weight: 10 lbs 3oz         25-50th percentile
Head Circumference: 15 3/4 inches    75th percentile

So Dr. Hoerman (who we always see) came in and I had all kinds of questions for him.  Jacey has been having a ton of gas and on Monday it was so bad she screamed for an hour at a time.  I knew there was something I had to be doing wrong.  Sure enough, Dr. said that I need to keep the gas drops in her system.  Therefore I need to give them to her at every feeding or every 4 hours.  Auhhh so much better. Poor lil girl had so much gas she didn't know what to do with it.  Everyday you learn something new.So I also asked him about her "snarfles" too.  It's that super congested sound she has had since she came home from the hospital. He said that is fine as well.  She just has a very small nasal passage so any little bit of fluid in there sounds really bad.  He said she is too young to have allergies.
Lastly was the shots.  I was nervous but I knew that every mom and baby had to go through it.  Two nurses came in and did them at the same time so that was good.  She had 3 shots, 2 in one leg and one in the other.  She screamed soooo loud.  The nurse said, "She has a nice set of
lungs!"  She didn't cry for too long and I was surprisingly okay.  I got her dressed and we were off.  We have to go back in 2 months for more.
Ouch!  See my battle wound!  It is a snoopy Band-Aid too!
Another ouchy!
Well Jacelyn, that looks like something Britney Spears would wear! He he!

Since her shots, she hasn't been too bad.  Yesterday afternoon she cried for a while.  She slept okay last night and today she woke up to eat at 8 and then went right back to sleep.  Although since she had her shots she likes to be left alone.  She doesn't want to be touched or held.  Hey I don't blame her!

Here are some fun pictures I took on Monday!

We can't forget Trey!  Here he is outside.  On Sunday we moved his dog house so we can move our cloth line.  Poor dog has gone through so many changes lately.  But overall he has been a good sport about all of it.  In August he will turn 7 years old!  He is an old man!
Trey and his lil sista!
Jacey's first pair of jeans!  Thanks GG Up-The-Hill!
Chillin' in the grass with Trey!  Pretty soon she'll be crawling in the grass!

Oh and on Monday we went to our New Parent Support Group at the hospital.  I have been trying to go to this every Monday.  It is where new parents go and bring their babies.  The babies lay around on the floor, get weighed and moms complain about their husbands...no just kidding, we chat about everything that is going on with our babies.  There are also two support staff members there, one is always a lactation consultant.  It has been very helpful and I have met several new friends.
