Kellan's Here!

Here are some more.  I couldn't add them to the bottom for some reason.  I will have better pictures.  These are all from my cell because I didn't have my camera today. Errrr

I tricked you!

I am sure all of you know my pops or gramps.  He loves playing jokes on people.  Well right now it's my turn to play jokes on mom and dad.  I have been hiding my heartbeat from that silly little probe that the doctors run over mom's belly.  I fool them to think my head is not facing down.  This is the second time I did it.  Today Elizabeth had to bring mom into the UltraSound room to double check that I was ready to be born.  FYI...I'm not going anywhere people!  I am head down for the duration in this trapped little space.  Take a look at the cute lil' face.Elizabeth said that if I make it to my appointment next Monday that she is going to try and get the show on the road.  That means next Monday will be my first internal exam.

We're still waiting on Baby Kellen (Shannon's baby).  He was due today.  She went to the doctor and she is 3 cm dialated so it should be anytime soon.  Come BABY Come!

S & S

S is for Swelling... You know the deal.

S is for SNEAKERS... to be used as soon as I am ready to get on the road again!
That's ALL!  Oh happy DAYS!  BACK TO CLEANING!

The Last Class!

Tonight Pat and I attended our last class!  Yeah!  Good thing we saved the worst for last.  I didn't think that class was so helpful.  It was sort of repetitive of the weekend child prep class we went to.  Basically she went over all of the risks and benefits of having a water birth.  In order for it to be possible for me to have a water birth, we had to attend this class.  We watched a couple of videos and she showed us the birthing tub which we had already seen.  I found this video online a while ago which I thought was interesting.  I watch it in hopes that my labor and birth can be similar.  Take a peek if you are curious.  Make sure to click on the Water Birth Video.

8 PoUnDs ? No Way

I was suppose to have my doctor's appointment yesterday (Monday) but the midwife I was suppose to see had to run to the hospital for a delivery so they rescheduled it for this afternoon.  Yesterday they told me they had one appointment at 4:00 open with Irene.  Oh NO I thought, she is the one lady I don't care for.  Pat was going to meet me there but ended up having to work a 12 hour day.  So I called up Nicole and thankfully she was excited and really wanted to come with me.

When we got there Irene was out so I got to see one of the other ladies that I really like.  YES!!! I weighed in and gave my sample of pee which was IMPOSSIBLE!  I have lost all sight of the cup now so I have to guess and soak my hand.  Oh well what is a little pee on the hand?

Dr. Blienberg let Nicole find the baby's heartbeat which was fun! It is starting to slow down quite a bit.  Today is was only between 135-140.   The Dr. felt around on the outside a bit and made some predictions as to how big Jacey is going to be.  Ya, she thought when she was delivered that she was going to be about 8 POUNDS 5 OUNCES!~!!  Yikes that is a big girl.  She also said that she was close to that right now.  Okay so now I know why my stomach feels so heavy.  She said that her head is right down there but I don't have any symptoms that labor is close.  BUMMER!  I am peeing more but that is it.

So I guess I will just carry on with life and wait until next Monday when I go back to the doctor's to see what is new.  Maybe by then she will be a little more ready.

37 Weeks & a Busy Day!

BEWARE GRAPHIC PHOTOS!

I told all of you that when I was feeling froggy I would post some pictures of the belly, well HERE they are.  The quality is not great because I use Photo Booth on my computer.
So I am now 37 weeks and I read yesterday that the BUN IN THE OVEN IS FULLY COOKED!  Yikes, that means she could be here any day.  Well I suppose now that Lindsay's shower is over I have nothing else extremely pressing to be at or do.  Go ahead Jacey, I DARE you!
You can probably tell by the photos that life in my shoes is a little uncomfortable.  I guess it could be a lot worse, so I shouldn't complain.

Today is going to be super busy!  Once I finishing this blog entry I am going to head to school.  We have a doctor's appointment at 3:00 which I am a little nervous about.  I read yesterday that it might be an internal exam.  Yikes that could hurt a little.  They just want to see how things are progressing down there.  Then at 6:00 we have a Breast feeding class till 8:30 that could also be a little scary.  I would rather be informed and know what might happen to my poor lil' ta-tas.  Yup Pat is going to go so that he knows what to expect and what they might look like.  Oh and all the benefits lil' Jacey will get from the milk!

That's our day!  Hope all goes well.  I'll keep you posted on the outcome!
XOXO

Oh Special Day!

BRIDE-TO-BE... Mrs. Lindsay LeBrun

Today all of the gals in Lindsay's bridal party as well as her mom threw Lindsay her Bridal Shower at the Three Chimney's Inn in Durham.  It was a wonderful day all around!  As you can see, Lindsay was super excited and loved everything about her shower.  We started the shower by greeting all of the family and friends.  Lindsay then had some time to mingle with everyone while people got a bite to eat and filled out a couple of game boards.
We took some time to take lots of pictures too!
Here is a cute lil' photo of Lindsay in a Prego sandwich!
Jacey already loves Auntie Lindsay lots!

Toni and Kim enjoyed themselves as well!

The girls in the wedding party had a blast decorating!  We decided to all make our own centerpieces.  They were all very different but similar in color.  We also had an assortment of PINK candy at each of the tables too.

Here is the entire bridal party.  From left to right is Deidra Howard (BM), Keri Kavanaugh (BM & friend from college), Cait Laracy (BM & friend from college), Bride-To-Be, Laura Bratz (MOH & friend from high school), Jessica Laughton (BM & sister), and that's me lastly!  What a fun and good looking group of girls.
Here is another picture of Lindsay's friends from college.
The DOYLE SISTERS!  Thanks Nicole for all of your help!

Once Lindsay opened all of her gifts, we picked up and headed back to her house.  Steve was pumped because he got himself a humidifier for his cigars.
I think it would be safe to say that today was a "SPECIAL DAY"!

CONGRATULATIONS LINDSAY & STEVE!!!

Grams & Great Grams are GREAT!

Sometimes, as we all know, laundry can be overwhelming and never ending.  Well after both of my showers the laundry was exactly that!  Thankfully I have wonderful helpers.  Mom and both great grams were over cutting off tags, opening packages, sorting sizes and folding lil' pieces of clothing.

Today during my lunch I gave my gram-overcross a quick phone call to ask for a little help with laundry.  She has a key to the house and for some reason loves helping out.  She came over and washed and hung up our laundry.

She also brought over all of Jacey's hats, socks and mittens that she took this weekend to wash.  You have to see how perfect she made them!
She put all of Jacey's lil' socks in bags.  Then she carefully tied them in sets.  What would I ever do without their help?

So all is well with Jacey and I.  We are growing daily!  On Monday I went to the doctors and actually ended up having an unexpected Ultrasound because my Dr. thought that Jacey may have her head up.  No chance, the Ultrasound showed her head down and that she is really a she!  Other than that I go to the doctors again on Monday.  Every Monday from now until she is here!

Oh and maybe someday soon when I am feeling froggy I will have Pat take a picture of my belly.  It scares me tonight, it is so big!

End of Week 35, Hello Week 36

As most of you already know, this week was crazy.  I can't say crazy in a good way either.  I guess I would probably consider this week one of the hardest so far, due to discomfort.  I know every women goes through it but damn, this is uncomfortable!  The plus is that I am sleeping well.
I would also consider this week a transition week.  Lots of noticeable changes: I can feel my skin stretching, I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions, and I hate sitting anywhere anytime!  I feel as though my belly grew a ton this week.  Take a peek at this picture I took this morning.Hello WEEK 36
I am thinking that since I am used to the new changes that happened this week that next week will be a little easier.  Jacelyn is now about 6 pounds and about 21 inches long.  I read something that said she was the size of a bread box!  That's crazy. Here is another interesting picture.
Monday I go to my last 2 week appointment.  From there on I go to the doctors every Monday!  Yikes!  I will post about how the appointment goes.

More Photos

Here are the rest of the pictures from my shower!

My Gourmet Chef Husband!

So since I have been pregnant, I haven't really had a normal appetite.  What I mean by that is that I never know what I feel like for dinner.  I have been telling Pat all along, "Just make whatever you want and I will pick."  I think he is a little sick of me saying that.  I just never know what I want!
So tonight I went to see Dr. Franklin in Wolfeboro so he could crack my back after work.  We took out chicken for dinner this morning.  So I called Pat on my way to Wolfeboro and of course he asked what I wanted for dinner.  He wasn't surprised when I said, "I don't really feel like anything.  Just cook whatever you want!"  He understandingly said, "Alright".
When I got home there was a huge surprise on the stove.  My very own Chicken Dinner!  It smelled sooo yummy!  My HuBbY made me an entire chicken dinner including breaded chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing and gravy!  So yummy!
He said, "We're gonna fatten her up tonight with a nice chicken dinner!"  The "fatten her up" part, he was referring to Jacey.  He was a little upset that last night I didn't have much dinner because I had lots of sweets at my shower!  He has been a little protective of Jacey.  He says things like, "She's my baby too!"  He makes me laugh.  He is going to be such an awesome dad!  So my tummy is stuffed and Jacey's is too. She loved that her daddy made her a nice meal.

Special People

Yesterday afternoon my work friends threw me the cutest lil' shower!
I don't know if I have mentioned the fact that I am really going to miss all my friends/colleagues at work.  They are all so caring and thoughtful.  We got so many nice things. Lots of clothes, audio cds, dvds, a Baby Bjorn (carrier) and gift cards.  Last night when I got home, Pat came out to help me bring everything in.  I have been so tired, the gifts are waiting to be put away.
Also you have to see the card my friend Michelle made.
She makes the best cards!

Once I get the pictures from a friend of mine at school, I will post more pictures from the shower itself.  If any of you are feel ambitious, feel free to stop by and but all of this away for me!  He he  XOXO  : )

The Tennis Ball Tumble

I never thought a little yellow tennis ball could cause so many problems!  Well I found out....it can!
Yesterday Trey got some new yellow tennis balls to play with around the house.  He loves tennis balls!  I was getting my arts and crafts cleaned up before dinner last night and I was carrying my craft(s) through the living room when all of a sudden I stepped on one of Trey's tennis balls and tumbled over backwards.  It felt like it all happened in slow motion.  I had enough time to think about what I was going to do with "my glass bowl craft" and my belly.  In the process of falling, I gently set down my craft and landed flat on my butt.  And under my right butt cheek was Trey's stupid ball.  OUCH!  I couldn't see under me because my craft was blocking my view.  Pat was in the kitchen when he heard all of the ruckus. (He called it the earthquake.)  He came into the dining room when I said, "Ow!"  I was laughing so hard I couldn't even tell him what had just happened.  I told him I was okay and continued laughing which hurt my belly the most.  He tried helping me up but I was not ready because I was laughing so hard I was concerned about peeing my pants.  I was holding my crotch to prevent the pee from coming.  Once I was all set, I carried on with my day.  My butt was a little sore but nothing else had changed.  There was no bleeding, spotting, cramps and Jacey was still moving quite a bit.

On my way to school this morning I was telling Nicole my story.  She agreed that everything sounded fine and there was no need to call my doctor.  Well that changed when I had gotten to school.  A couple of people suggested that I call the doctor just to let them know what had happened since I am 8 months pregnant.  So I called the office at 10:15 and they gave me a half hour to get to the Birth Center at the hospital.  I was shocked!
I told my work and off I went to the hospital.  I checked in at 11:00 and the nurse put me on a monitor for what she told me was going to be 4 hours.  I totally didn't expect to be in the hospital all day long.  I made myself at home!  I had lunch, watched a lot of TV and took a small nap.
At 3:00 I was expecting to leave but the nurse seemed a little concerned that I was having some small contractions so before she would let me leave she had to page my midwife and have her look at my monitor which she was able to do at her own office.  Finally at 4:15, just after Pat arrived, I was discharged.  I was so afraid they were going to put me on some kind of bed rest but I am good to go back to my daily routines.  Thank goodness!  I am so NOT ready to have her yet!  So now I am home and relaxing.  No worries, we are all great!

Exciting Events to Come!

The next couple of months are going to be so exciting!  Babies & a Wedding are coming!  Yesterday all of the girls in Lindsay's bridal party got together to discuss the upcoming events.  Of course this was no secret to Lindsay.  Lindsay is a big snoop!  She seems to try and find out everything.  I have to give it to her, she is sneaky! So while we were out shopping, my phone rang!  Sure enough, it was Lindsay.  We decided to invite her out to lunch.  What a great idea!  We had so much fun talking and laughing at Applebees.  All of the girls in her wedding are so much fun!
Once we got done having lunch we headed over to Madeline's Daughter to look at shoes and hairpieces.
 Lindsay found something super cute!
Deidra and I headed home and I had enough time to take Trey for a nice long walk!

Now that is a good day!

One Sad Puppy Dog!

Last night Pat and I left the dogs home and went out with Nick & Nicole for a bite to eat.  We ended up going to the Granite Steak and Grill.  We came right home after because Pat had to work and I was super tired.  On the way down our street I smelt something funny.  Sort of like a faint skunk smell but Pat didn't smell anything so I just blamed it on my extra sensitive nose.  I thought nothing of it.
I let Abby out as soon as we got in, to go to the bathroom!  (This is Abby below.
We have had her since my parents left on vacation a week and a half ago.)
She did her duty and came right back in!

Well Trey on the other hand likes to stay outside.  So I let him out and before I went into the
living room I checked on him to make sure he was fine outside.  He was just sitting on the step enjoying the nice weather.  SO I LEFT HIM THERE.
Well that was a MISTAKE!  We had a little friend wander into our yard.
(STINK)

Trey must have been curious, which he shouldn't have been, and wanted to meet this new little friend we could call STINK!  He knows what these things do because he has been sprayed before!  (What a dummy!)
Meanwhile, Pat and I are peacefully relaxing on the couch.  Pat turns to me and says, "Is Trey still outside?"  I replied, "Yeah it is nice out."
Pat jumped off the couch and ran outside.  He let Trey in and Trey was sprinting around the house rubbing his face on anything and everything.  Something was definitely wrong!  Pat grabbed him and asked me if this is what a skunk smelled like.
SURE ENOUGH!  Trey got sprayed square in the face! That
is what you get when you sniff everyone's BUTTS!  Pat immediately grabbed Trey and through him out in the garage.  The poor dog was so scared and nervous he Poo-kipsied right on the floor!  Last time Trey was sprayed he was so darn scared I felt so bad for him!

CLEAN-UP BEGINS
I immediately ran for my computer to look up the solution I used to wash Trey last time he was sprayed. (At that time Pat was away in ME so he didn't have the joy of cleaning Trey!)  Thankfully last time Trey was sprayed I bought extra supplies, so I had some leftovers.  We threw Trey into our bathtub and Pat started scrubbing away.
I mixture was really strong so Pat had to wear rubber gloves.  It was Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Dish detergent.  The worst part was that it had to stay on him for 10 minutes before you could wash it off!  He didn't like it at all!  He was one sad puppy dog last night!
So today I wake up at 6:30 because I just can't deal with the skunk smell any longer.  I can't wait to open my windows and let the fresh air come in.  Trey still stinks pretty bad but last time the smell lasted a good couple of weeks.  His nose smells the worst because the solution that we used can't come near him eyes or mouth.  I think that we are going to survive.

They say things come in threes!  Well that was number 3 this week.
1. Pat got the tractor stuck in the snow storm.
2. The battery in my car died.
3. Trey gets sprayed my a skunk.

We should be clear now!

This was a picture of Trey the other night.  He jammed himself in between the couch and the foot rest.  He loves to lay in close quarters!  They say that is true for babies too.  They get that tendency from being in their mother's womb.

What happened to my BLADDER?

I have this strange feeling that Baby Jacelyn is lightening.  That means that she is dropping a bit and sitting more on my bladder.  This would be the reason that I got up 4 times last night to go pee!   Do you know how hard it is to get out of bed?  Well 4 times in one night.  Errr.  I guess I better get used to this.

No more Alien Baby!

NEWSFLASH!
I am real and look like a human now.  I am getting to be a big girl in here.  I am over 18 inches long and weigh about 4 3/4 lbs.  I am becoming a strong little girl.  I can't move too much in here but just enough so that when I kick you can see the wave happen on the outside of mommy's tummy.  Right now I am working on gaining some fat on these bones.  I think mom is noticing because her appetite is starting to change.  She has been feeding me lots of healthy treats like fruit but I need food to put some fat on these bones!  I only have a couple more weeks to prepare myself for the big day!
My central nervous system and lungs are also continuing to mature.  This is a pretty accurate picture of my position.  My head has been down for quite a long time.
Tomorrow mom goes to the doctor's office again.  She'll do the normal routine: scale, pee, questions, and the heartbeat.  Then off to school.  Hopefully the weather is cooperating!

PS  I wish mom and dad would decide on my full name!
