One Sad Puppy Dog!

Last night Pat and I left the dogs home and went out with Nick & Nicole for a bite to eat.  We ended up going to the Granite Steak and Grill.  We came right home after because Pat had to work and I was super tired.  On the way down our street I smelt something funny.  Sort of like a faint skunk smell but Pat didn't smell anything so I just blamed it on my extra sensitive nose.  I thought nothing of it.
I let Abby out as soon as we got in, to go to the bathroom!  (This is Abby below.
We have had her since my parents left on vacation a week and a half ago.)
She did her duty and came right back in!

Well Trey on the other hand likes to stay outside.  So I let him out and before I went into the
living room I checked on him to make sure he was fine outside.  He was just sitting on the step enjoying the nice weather.  SO I LEFT HIM THERE.
Well that was a MISTAKE!  We had a little friend wander into our yard.
(STINK)

Trey must have been curious, which he shouldn't have been, and wanted to meet this new little friend we could call STINK!  He knows what these things do because he has been sprayed before!  (What a dummy!)
Meanwhile, Pat and I are peacefully relaxing on the couch.  Pat turns to me and says, "Is Trey still outside?"  I replied, "Yeah it is nice out."
Pat jumped off the couch and ran outside.  He let Trey in and Trey was sprinting around the house rubbing his face on anything and everything.  Something was definitely wrong!  Pat grabbed him and asked me if this is what a skunk smelled like.
SURE ENOUGH!  Trey got sprayed square in the face! That
is what you get when you sniff everyone's BUTTS!  Pat immediately grabbed Trey and through him out in the garage.  The poor dog was so scared and nervous he Poo-kipsied right on the floor!  Last time Trey was sprayed he was so darn scared I felt so bad for him!

CLEAN-UP BEGINS
I immediately ran for my computer to look up the solution I used to wash Trey last time he was sprayed. (At that time Pat was away in ME so he didn't have the joy of cleaning Trey!)  Thankfully last time Trey was sprayed I bought extra supplies, so I had some leftovers.  We threw Trey into our bathtub and Pat started scrubbing away.
I mixture was really strong so Pat had to wear rubber gloves.  It was Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Dish detergent.  The worst part was that it had to stay on him for 10 minutes before you could wash it off!  He didn't like it at all!  He was one sad puppy dog last night!
So today I wake up at 6:30 because I just can't deal with the skunk smell any longer.  I can't wait to open my windows and let the fresh air come in.  Trey still stinks pretty bad but last time the smell lasted a good couple of weeks.  His nose smells the worst because the solution that we used can't come near him eyes or mouth.  I think that we are going to survive.

They say things come in threes!  Well that was number 3 this week.
1. Pat got the tractor stuck in the snow storm.
2. The battery in my car died.
3. Trey gets sprayed my a skunk.

We should be clear now!

This was a picture of Trey the other night.  He jammed himself in between the couch and the foot rest.  He loves to lay in close quarters!  They say that is true for babies too.  They get that tendency from being in their mother's womb.
